Look What’s happening this week…
Homework over break:
Your Firstie will be bringing home a writing packet on Friday. Please try to carve out time most days to practice writing. I’ve attached a checklist that shows the writing expectations for this point in the school year. Additionally, please be sure your child reads for 20 minutes most days. The extra effort will really help us get back into the swing of things in January.

Look What’s happening this week…
What to do if your child is quarantined
If the rest of the class is in-person and your child has to quarantine, please be sure to let me know. While your child is home I will update Seesaw with any work missed during class. The Digital Choice Board will provide lots of learning opportunities. Additionally, please have your child do the following every day:
Read for 20 minutes
Do 10 minutes of Lexia
Keep a journal-write for 10 minutes
Do 10 minutes of IXL or Moby
Spend 10 minutes on RAZ, Epic, Storyline Online, or BookFlix

Continue to work with word families

Holiday Party
We will celebrate on Friday, December 18. I plan to have pizza and a hot chocolate buffet. To offset the cost I’d be grateful for a $3-5 donation for each child. We will play a few games and possibly watch a movie. If you’d like to contribute supplies please click here for the signup sheet.
